Cosmetic Procedure Financial Policy

We consider it a privilege that you have chosen us for your aesthetic rejuvenation goals. We strongly believe that an informed patient is a good patient and that your clear understanding of our financial policy is important to our professional relationship. Therefore, we strive to inform you all the medical aspects of your needs as well as advise you on our payment policies for all cosmetic in-office and surgical procedures.

Cosmetic Procedures and Office Treatment Fees

Fees for in-office treatments such as Botox, Juvederm, Coolsculpting, chemical peels, laser hair removal, vascular lasers, laser resurfacing and other similar procedures are priced on a per treatment basis or as a treatment package, and are payable in full the day the service is rendered. The fee paid is a comprehensive fee that covers your pre-operative exam, anesthesia, physician charges, most supplies, and your post-operative visit. Treatment and series of treatments are non-refundable. An appointment can be moved to a different date of service if patient notifies practice within a reasonable time period before their scheduled treatment.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, cash and personal checks as forms of payment. We also accept CareCredit Patient Financing, which allows patients to finance cosmetic procedures and surgery without upfront costs. Gift cards are available for purchase as well.

Guarantee of Results

The practice of medicine and surgery is not an exact science, and therefore, reputable practitioners cannot guarantee results. The results of certain procedures may not last as long as expected or meet the degree of your expected improvement. It is important that you understand that all services are non-refundable. Additionally, if complications should develop or surgical revisions are necessary, you may incur additional costs.

Insurance and Billing

We participate with a variety of different health insurance plans. It is suggested that you contact your insurance company prior to your appointment to verify that you are eligible for medical services and that we are an in network provider with your particular health plan. Please note that cosmetic services are not covered by insurance, but most medical services and procedures are.

Most insurance plans require patients to make a co-payment at the time of their visit. All co-pays are collected on the day you are seen. Please come prepared to pay your co-pay. An insurance may also have separate deductibles (yearly out-of-pocket expense) that apply for medical services, surgical procedures, labs, and pathology tests. Wart removal, injections, and destruction of skin lesions are considered surgical procedures by insurance carriers and deductibles can apply. Please contact your insurance carrier if you have any deductible questions or concerns.

Lab Test and Pathology

Depending on your insurance plan and medical condition, lab tests may or may not be covered. It may be necessary to send pathology (skin specimen) to a third party laboratory for further testing and diagnosis. If this is done, we do send your insurance information along with the pathology. You may receive separate billing from an outside laboratory regarding this testing. Please let our office know if your insurance plan requires laboratory testing to be done through a designated or contracted laboratory.
